Ceramic decoration – paints and glazes
Instructor: Iga or Ola
Duration: 2 hours
Level: Beginner
Join us for a colorful adventure with ceramics!
These workshops are for everyone who wants to add color and their own character to their work. You can come with your own bisque-fired piece and focus on decorating it. If you don't have your own piece, you can purchase ready-made bisque separately on-site for decoration – its purchase is not included in the workshop price.
You don't need any prior experience in glazing or painting ceramics. The instructor starts the meeting by showing the available materials and how to use them, and then stays with the group throughout the entire class – helping with glaze and paint selection, advising on color combinations, demonstrating techniques needed to realize a specific idea, and assisting if something doesn't go according to plan.
During the workshop, you will:
- decorate your piece independently with underglaze paints or glazes,
- be able to experiment with color, graphics, and various application methods,
- receive support from the instructor throughout the entire meeting.
Available materials:
- European glazes,
- glazes from the USA, including Amaco, Mayco, and Spectrum,
- underglaze paints – excellent for graphics, painting, and initial trials.
The workshop price includes the decoration of two of your own pieces weighing up to 1 kg in total, and their firing. Additional pieces or those exceeding the indicated limit will be charged according to the current studio price list.
Also included in the price:
- instructor's care and support,
- tools and materials needed for decoration,
- coffee and tea on-site.
Duration: 2 hours
Workshops are available for individuals aged 13 and over; participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who also takes part in the class.
