Workshops inspired by the nerikomi technique
We invite you to a unique workshop inspired by the Asian art of nerikomi – a technique of combining multi-colored ceramic masses. It's a perfect opportunity to experiment with color and create unique designs.
What will happen?
- Working with sheets of clay at a table in comfortable conditions.
- A technique accessible to everyone, even those with no prior experience with clay.
- Possibility to create both harmonious, regular patterns and free, expressive marble-style compositions.
Clays available for the workshop include light beige, black, red, and beige. The nerikomi technique, also known as agate or marble clay, will be particularly appealing to those who appreciate natural patterns inspired by stones and subtle earthy tones.
What can be done?
We recommend creating a small bowl, cup, or flowerpot – up to three items can be made during the workshop. An experienced instructor will help you implement your ideas and advise on technical aspects.
After the classes, the works will be glazed and fired at high temperatures, making them fully usable.
Space is limited. Classes last 3 hours.
The workshop will be led by Marysia from Hopies Ceramics, who will share her knowledge and help you master this extraordinary technique.
We invite you to create together!
