Audrey Blackman Porcelain 12.5 kg
Audrey Blackman Porcelain – white, translucent porcelain body
Goerg & Schneider Audrey Blackman 1101 is a high-quality white porcelain body valued for its color purity and ability to achieve delicate translucency in thin walls. It is suitable for both throwing and modeling, and after firing, it creates a bright, smooth, and elegant body.
Characteristics:
- Fired color: white, partially translucent in thin walls
- Application: throwing, thin-walled vessels, jewelry, and decorative forms
- Form: plastic porcelain body, packed in 12.5 kg
- Firing temperature range: 1220–1280°C
- Grog content: none
- Drying shrinkage: approx. 6%
- Firing shrinkage: approx. 12% at 1240°C
- Water absorption after firing: approx. 0.1% at 1240°C
Recommended for thin-walled cups, bowls, lanterns, ceramic jewelry, decorative forms, and porcelain art objects. Porcelain requires careful drying and support of forms, and due to high shrinkage, it is advisable to make dimensional samples and glaze compatibility tests. Valued by creators of ceramic jewelry and lighting objects where delicate wall transparency under light is the main artistic effect.
The parameters provided are indicative. The final color, shrinkage, absorbency, and glaze behavior depend on the kiln, atmosphere, soaking time, and firing curve. Before producing a larger series, we recommend a technological test with the chosen body and glaze.
