UG-198 Dark Grey is a Mayco Fundamentals underglaze in dark grey.
Mayco Fundamentals underglazes are designed for consistent color, easy application, and performance on various clay bodies and across a wide firing temperature range.

- Application: on bisque, greenware, or leather-hard clay; usually 2–3 thin coats
- Finish without glaze: matte
- Firing: from low to high temperatures; color may change with temperature and firing atmosphere
For a glossy finish, increased color intensity, and a food-safe surface, it is recommended to cover the work with a suitable transparent or matte transparent glaze. Test on your specific clay body, especially at higher temperatures.
Firing temperature: 1000 – 1300 °C
