Mayco SW-406 Dark Magma
Dark gray effect glaze creating a rough, crater-like surface resembling solidified magma. At higher reduction firing temperatures, it may lighten.
Mayco Stoneware glazes are designed for stoneware firing in an oxidation or reduction atmosphere. Apply in even coats to clean bisque.
Application: on bisque, in layers with a brush; mix thoroughly before use
Important: The surface is decorative and not intended for food contact areas.
The final effect depends on the clay body color, the number and thickness of layers, and the firing curve and atmosphere. We recommend testing on a sample piece before applying to your final work.
Firing temperature: 1200 – 1300 °C
