The collection is inspired by the extraordinary rock formations of Japan.
The black mugs with a matte glaze refer to the basalt columns of the Takachiho gorge, shaped by the eruption of Mount Aso and carved by the river.
The blue model was inspired by Aoshima Island and its famous "Devil's Washboard," rhythmic rock layers formed by strong waves.
The ribbed texture not only decorates but also protects hands from hot drinks.
Material: stoneware glazed with food-safe Amaco/Mayco glazes.
Capacity:
Mugs with handle approx. 400-500 ml
Large Takachiho handleless mug approx. 500 ml
Features: fired at 1210°C, food-safe, lead-free, non-toxic, suitable for hot and cold beverages/food.
Usage: dishwasher and microwave safe.
Each piece is unique and hand-formed, so you receive a one-of-a-kind mug! Handicraft is not mass production. Each piece has its own soul, so it may differ from the design in the photo.
