WM2502 clay – light clay with fine fireclay (25%)

WM2502 is a malleable, light-colored ceramic mass with 25% fine fireclay (0–0.2 mm) that combines a smooth surface with increased strength. Its properties make it ideal for both turning and the construction of small hand-made forms. Firing at a wide temperature range, it produces subtle shades of white and cream.

Characteristic:

• Color after firing: from white to cream (depending on temperature)

• Application: turning, hand forming

• Form: plastic clay, packed in 10 kg bags

• Firing temperature range: 1000–1300 °C

• Fireclay content: 25%, grain 0–0.2 mm

• Shrinkage on drying: approx. 7.5%

• Shrinkage when fired at 1250 °C: approx. 6%

• Water absorption after firing at 1250 °C: approx. 1%
